This course is designed for people working with babies, such as Early Childhood Education teachers. It is also suitable for nannies, in-home carers, parents, or people caring for babies.
We expect you to come away from this 4 day live-in course with a strong understanding of infant development based on latest research in neuroscience from the world renown Pikler® Institute. Specifically, these understandings will include:
- The importance of secure attachments and partnership-based relationships
- Natural physical development, including the how to foster the progression of gross motor skills
- How infants learn and develop through self-directed play and the exploration of their bodies and the environment.
With this foundational knowledge, we will put a focus on helping you gain confidence putting this theory into practice. You will develop practical skills, including how to set up developmentally appropriate learning environments and how to handle and engage with babies in a way that promotes their social and emotional wellbeing.

Our all inclusive package for this course is $1600, all expenses included such as course resources, food, and accommodation. All you need is an open heart, and a way to get yourself there and back again from the Kāpiti Coast.
Particpants will be invoiced and can be provided a GST receipt for this cost. Prices quoted are inclusive of GST.
